GenCol VBA Script Usage Guide

Prerequisites

For Autodesk AutoCAD, the VBA Enabler Add-in is required. This can be downloaded from the official AutoCAD website.

Installation Instructions

1. Extract the downloaded ZIP file.
2. In the AutoCAD command bar, type APPLOAD and press Enter.
3. Click on Startup Suite.
4. Click Add and select the file GenCol_ZwCAD 2023_REV0.2.zvb or GenCol_AutoCAD 2019_REV0.1.dvb (Choose the version corresponding to your CAD version).
5. Click OK, then OK again to close the dialogs.

How to Run

1. In the command bar, type VBARUN and press Enter.
2. Select the macro: XX!PROKON_GenCol.LaiSJ_PROKON_GenCol to run.
3. Select the column outerline and press Enter.
4. Select openings (Do not select anything if there are no openings) and press Enter.
5. Select rebars and press Enter.
6. Select a reference point.
7. The GenCol input will be generated and shown in an Excel file / copied to clipboard.
